Hi there, fellow triathletes —
Training for the 70.3 Ironman Marbella world championship? Stay Somewhere Your Family Will Still Like You.
I’m an ex-triathlete (yes, I paid money to wake up at 4:30 AM and swim next to athletes kicking me in the face and hardly survived to my first 70.3 swim) — and I am the owner of Villa K7, a gorgeous, family-friendly villa located in the hills above Marbella.
But First, let me apologize that the World Championship is in Marbella — it’s definitely better than Nice, but let’s be honest… it’s still no Kona. That said, we’ll make sure your experience is as close to paradise as it gets — minus the jet lag and the volcano hot stones. 😄
If you’re coming to town this November for the race or want to discover the area, read on — especially if you’re trying to keep your marriage intact.
🏊♀️ Swim. 🚴♂️ Bike. 🏃♂️ Run. Repeat. (And still be a decent human.)
Our K7 villa is ideally located for serious triathlon training:
• Quiet, scenic bike routes start from your doorstep — no traffic chaos, no endless lights, no cars needed. Enjoy Ronda road and surroundings.
running access — you can clock in up to 15 km (or much more) of peaceful, scenic routes without ever leaving the residence. That’s a rare luxury around Marbella or Puerto Banús, where running often means dodging strollers, tourists, and café chairs. Here, you’ll have space, quiet, and clean air — no need to plan a logistics mission just to fit in a tempo run. Not time lost.
And as a bonus? If you’re lucky, you might even share the road with a few local deer. Not only will you get your training done, you’ll collect a few wild memories along the way too. 🦌🐗 and maybe, if a family wild pork show up, you will run faster.
• And for your swim sessions? Our pool is too small, that’s obvious. But, The protected beach at San Pedro is perfect for open-water training — including swims all the way to Puerto Banús Levante Beach, where the race starts.
And here’s something your bike will appreciate:
✔️ Secured garage for all your gear.
✔️ Private, gated residence — you can leave your stuff out without a worry.
✔️ We can even arrange bike transfers from the airport to the villa with our trustful Carlos van, so you don’t have to drag your precious carbon bike around in an unknown taxi.
🏖 What about your family?
We know that Ironman training can turn you into a part-time house ghost — so we’ve designed Villa K7 to keep your family not just occupied, but happy:
📖 I’ll even give you a custom swim & beach guide with the best spots for both training and family fun — beaches with beach clubs, playgrounds for kids, and great coffee for your partner who’s pretending to care about your heart rate zones. Hairdresser, manicure or healthy brunch for her, run and swim for you at the same place.
The best part? The villa is up in the hills, where the air is fresher, the views are unbeatable, and it’s usually a few degrees cooler than the coast — which means better sleep, better recovery, and less complaining from the kids after lunch.
💪 Why I really get it
You’re not just staying in a house — you’re staying in a home designed by someone who’s lived this life. For over years, I’ve been part of the race experience across the globe: Aix-en-Provence, Nice, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, Panama City, and even Hawai’i . I’ve lived through races taken part in the XC Challenge circuit, so I truly understand the mental load, the routines, and the fine balance between focus and flexibility during these intense periods. And Yes, you can trust Troy Ford.
I know what it means to wake up before sunrise to squeeze in a long brick session, to obsess over gear layouts, or to build a daily schedule around training zones and nutrition windows. I’ve lived the pre-race nerves, the post-race hunger, and everything in between.
That’s why Villa K7 isn’t just comfortable — it’s strategic. It’s calm when it needs to be, supportive when it matters most, and flexible in ways only another triathlete would think of.
🏡 Why Villa K7?
• Triathlete-owned (we speak your language and understand your diet.
• Family-approved (happy partner = peaceful taper).
• Quiet, secure, and peaceful.
Whether you’re staying a few days to get acclimated or planning a training camp weeks before the race, Villa K7 gives you the freedom to train hard and keep the family smiling.
Book now — because October will be here faster than your transition from swim to bike. Yes, we will offer you some TUC in the complementary welcome basket.
